UNODC & UN Women in collaboration with the criminal justice institutions organized a seminar, co-hosted by Balochistan Police, “Engaging the Justice Sector Stakeholders to Improve Justice Delivery to the Victims of Gender Based Violence”. The seminar was held on June 17, 2022 in Quetta against the backdrop of the UNODC implementation of the Essential Services Package for victims and survivors of Gender Based Violence.
Keynote speaker, Mr. Abdul Khalique Sheikh, Inspector General Balochistan Police, appreciated the initiative and welcomed suggestions for justice delivery while Ms. Arsalan Saleem, SSP Balochistan Police presented the scope of GBV investigation and highlighted the challenges of the justice system.
The 20 participants at the seminar represented the Prosecution Department, Police Department, Women Development Department, Social Welfare Department, Prison Department and Reclamation and Probation Department.
